About Minecraft Image Tools
What is Minecraft Image Tools?
Minecraft Image Tools is a browser-based toolkit focused on converting images into Minecraft art and block designs. It is built as a web product: images are processed locally in the browser, and the current tool turns a source image into a Minecraft block design that can be previewed, counted, and downloaded.
The Image-to-Minecraft focus
The product focuses on image-based Minecraft creation: taking a normal image and mapping it onto Minecraft blocks. This covers pixel art and buildable block designs rather than world editing or server tooling.
The current tool
The current production tool is the Image to Minecraft Pixel Art converter. It accepts static PNG, JPEG, or WebP images and maps them to a reviewed palette of 49 blocks (Concrete, Wool, and Terracotta) for Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.5, with an output Width from 1 to 128 blocks. The result includes a preview, exact block and material counts, and a downloadable PNG.
Browser-based processing
Source images are processed in the browser during the core Pixel Art workflow. They are not uploaded to or stored by the application server, and generated designs remain session data.
Current product scope
One public conversion tool is currently available. The Pixel Art tool currently supports Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.5; version support may expand in the future and is not a permanent site-wide limitation. Additional Image-to-Minecraft capabilities are considered only through separately approved product work.
Independent project
Minecraft Image Tools is an independent project. It is not an official Minecraft product and is not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft. Minecraft block data is reviewed against official game information, and the generated block catalog is derived project data, not an official Minecraft dataset.
Minecraft Image Tools is operated by OpenSevenery.
